The other day, we went to see a spellbound exhibit, which is like an exhibit about how people believed/ believe in magic. Did you know that people put slippers and shoes and cloth and clothes and dead animals in the walls of their houses to protect them from witches and magic?

There was also a book that showed you how to make "The seal of the Gods" ( a seal is what you would use to close your envelopes in the olden days).
This book supposedly showed people how  to make the seal of the Gods which was very complicated, and every one who tried to do it made it differently.

There were also old books about the perfect man, and how to do stuff and how not to, and how magic could make you fat or something, I didn't really understand that part.

There were amulets and charms and voodoo dolls and real human and animal hearts that are 400 years old with nails through them.

So much stuff! So cool. If any of you ever come to Oxford between now and January 6th 2019 you should go see Spellbound at the Ashmolean museum. Seriously but probably none of you are willing to take a 10 hour plane ride to come here and rent a house just to see an exhibit... I won't even be in Oxford by then, and I'm more important, right? Ha, ha.
