What is the oldest existing democracy in the world and when did it start?

There are lots of countries that claim to have had the first democracy including Greece, Britain, America, and more.

Democracy is defined by Cambridge English dictionary as the belief in freedom and equality between people, or a system of government based on this belief, in which power is either held by elected representatives or directly by the people themselves.

Some people believe British democracy is the oldest democracy. British democracy has been existing since the the early 13th century, by the parliament of England of the Kingdom of England, and was changed in 1707 when it became the Parliament of Great Britain after the kingdom of Great Britain was created.

England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales are the countries that make up Great Britain.

What is the capital of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy?

The capital of the United Kingdom is London, the capital of France is Paris, the capital of Germany is Berlin, and the capital of Italy is Rome.


Question 4.
Where is Wimbledon and why is it famous?

Wimbledon is in London and is famous for their tennis team. Wimbledon holds the very famous tennis matches at Center court, played on outdoor fields of grass.

What is Brexit?

Brexit means British exit. Great Britain wants to leave the European Union and have a deal so that they still get some things from the European Union but are their own country.


Question 6.
Where did we stay in London?

We stayed at Nadya's (my aunts) friend's house. And they have a dog named Dobby like the house elf from Harry Potter!
