Yesterday, we went to London for the day because Papa had a work meeting and Mama was seeing a friend for lunch. Papa's meeting was at nine o'clock in the morning and we couldn't catch a train in time. Understanding that, Papa cancelled the meeting and we got to London at about 11:00.
We went to lunch with Mama's friend. Moss and I had pizza. It was delicious!
Then we went to London tower and went on a tour. The tour guide was a Beefeater. Beefeaters guard the Tower of London and the Queen. Funny name, right? Those are their names because in the olden days, only rich people could afford good meat like beef. So to show their high class, they were called Beefeaters and still are to this day. Here is a picture...
Wonder why it says E R on their uniforms with the roman numeral 2 in the middle? The E stands for Elizabeth (the Queen's name), and R stands for Regina... Which means Queen. The 2 in the middle means the second. So Queen Elizabeth the second.
Then we walked over Tower Bridge and took the train back home.
