WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GARGOYLES AND GROTESQUES?
They both are freaky things carved from stone that hang off the side of buildings but, gargoyles are spouts for water to run down from the building like down spouts. However, grotesques don't serve a purpose. They are simply carvings for decorations.  

WHERE HAVE WE SEEN GARGOYLES AND GROTESQUES ON OUR TRIP SO FAR?
We have seen gargoyles and grotesques on Magdalen College tower and we saw one that looked like Yoda! Seriously. Here is a picture. Sorry about the alamy all over it. Yoda is on the top left corner.

WHEN WAS THAT COLLEGE BUILT?
Magdalen College was built in the year 1458. That is 560 years ago.

FUN FACT:
Magdalen is pronounced maudlin.  Here is a picture of the tower.
