There is a lot of wildlife in Italy. It has been only 3 days since we got here, yet we have already seen signs of life. Yesterday, while coming home from a walk to check out Mama’s university (it was closed), we saw a porcupine quill on the ground. We searched it up and sure enough there are porcupines in Italy, imported from Africa by the Romans. Two days ago, we also saw a brown animal run away through the trees. I think that, from the way it was running, it must have been a hare, while Mama insists that it was to big to be a hare and must have been a wild boar. I am interested in the wildlife around our house and hope we get more chances to learn about it.
